The 2007 Heart of America Tractor Cruise The 2007 Heart of America Tractor Cruise was held on June 23 in Maryville, MO at Northwest Implement (John Deere). It was a beautiful day and over 300 tractors, drivers, and support people came together to benefit Camp Quality Northwest Missouri. A big thanks to everyone who helped in any way to make the 2007 Cruise such a success. As one worker stated "It takes us all to make this happen." All assistance was greatly appreciated. There truly are many angels among us. All communities showed their support and cars and people lined the route with many smiles and waves. Great food was provided at each stop by community volunteers. Thanks to all communities!! A DVD or VHS tape telling the entire story is for sale. At the reasonable price of $20, it would make a great keepsake or gift. The 2006 video, created by Northwest Missouri State University's video department turned out great and is still for sale! We are looking forward to another great video this year. Order your copy now. Call 660-652-3499 or email webmaster@heartofamericatractorclub.com. Donations are still coming in to help children with or recovering from cancer. (See the Camp Quality link for further information about this amazing camp.) There are over 500 pictures at tractorama.com. The winners of the John Deere pedal tractor and custom made gravity wagon was Bob Spoonemore of Savannah, MO. Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets. A big thank you to all of those people and businesses who helped in any way to make this event a huge success. Everything each of you did was greatly appreciated. Groups like you show that there truly are "angels among us". Please email any ideas that anyone has that would help make next year's event even better. The 3rd annual Heart of America Tractor Cruise will be help June 2008. The route will begin at the King City Museum grounds in King City, MO. Please make plans to join us. Registration will be limited, so register early. Kids need angels like you! |
